Rosie Moore
Director (Independent)
Rosie Moore is an exploration geologist with over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. Starting her career as a site exploration geologist, Ms. Moore has progressively held various positions including corporate management, investment, and director roles.
Ms. Moore has been integral to numerous exploration projects that have exemplified value creation for shareholders. For example, Ms. Moore held the role of Manager of Geology for Diamond Fields Resources Inc. from pre-discovery through to Inco’s C$4.3 billion acquisition of the Voisey’s Bay Deposit (Labrador). She also led the field team to a discovery on Ivanhoe’s Carlin Trend property in Nevada that resulted in an acquisition by Newmont, was part of Barrick’s reconnaissance team entering Peru, and did early field work on what became the Eagle Deposit in the Yukon.
Ms. Moore’s broad corporate management experience includes serving as an analyst at Yorkton Securities and as Vice President, Corporate for Pan American Silver Corp. during its growth from one mine to five, globally. As a partner with Geologic Resource Partners, a specialty Boston-based metals/mining hedge fund, she championed exploration investment worldwide and took on venture capital and board roles at organizations including Continental Gold, Geoinformatics and Kiska Metals. She also held the role of President & CEO of Dolly Varden Silver while serving as a director of the company.
Ms. Moore currently serves as a director of two junior explorers, Trifecta Gold Ltd. (Yukon) and Alex Metals (SE Alaska).
Ms. Moore holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Kent State University in Ohio.
